Clermont Chamber Names Pautke to New Leadership Development Executive Position
Clermont County, Ohio — To help meet the growing demand for its leadership development resources, the Clermont Chamber of Commerce Foundation has created the position of executive director to head its LEAD Clermont Academy and named Pierce Township resident Bob Pautke to fill it.
Pautke, who has been associated with LEAD Clermont since 2007, will be responsible for the Academy’s strategic planning, teaching and class facilitation, enrollment growth, budget administration and leadership of volunteer executive management teams.
Now in its thirtieth year with more than 500 graduates, the Academy’s flagship leadership education program, LEAD Classic, offers an eleven-month series of classes and team-building activities. It also includes learning experiences designed to increase familiarity and understanding of Clermont County’s needs and opportunities. Participants come from County businesses, government, nonprofits, faith-based groups and educational institutions.
In return for this experience, LEAD Classic graduates agree to make a “Promise” to serve the community. Today, dozens of graduates participate on County nonprofit boards, serve in elected and appointed government positions and volunteer in numerous ways to help improve the economic vitality of the community through stewardship, service and friendship.
To develop and deploy leadership across a lifetime, the LEAD Clermont Academy curriculum now also includes LEAD Ready for high school students, LEAD Emerge for 20-39 year-old leaders, LEAD Encore for third-act career leaders and LEAD Over for alumni continuing education.
"Establishing this position is critical to the formation of a motivating environment for our community leadership programming", said Matt Van Sant, executive director for the Foundation. "If we are to support the greater good of Clermont County, we must develop our leaders and utilize their collective influence to make Clermont a great place."
As president of SOAR with Purpose, a strengths-based leader development company, Pautke has helped individuals in the United States and around the world realize their strengths for life-long careers of purpose. He has also worked with organizations to acquire, develop and retain the best of human character and talent.
A former Pierce Township board trustee and chair, Pautke serves as chair of the Clermont County Boys & Girls Clubs’ advisory board; as a trustee of the Clermont County Public Library board; as president and chair of Connect Clermont and as a member of the United Way's Eastern Area Action Council and Great Oaks Workforce Development Business Advisory Council.
A United States Army veteran and published author, Pautke is also board chair of the Young Professionals of Clermont and charter/board member of the Eastside Cincinnati Rotary.
